August/September 2024
We've had a busy start to the year. P4/7 have enjoyed their outdoor learning days with Outfit Moray. They have been gorge walking and rafting and are looking forward to mountain biking later in the month. P1/3 have been learning to keep the rhythm using instruments with Mrs Gillies. P5/7 have also been developing their cookery skills in health club.
October 2024
We have been learning about Glenlivet 'Then and Now'. P1/3 had a super trip to the Highland Folk Museum and shared their learning with the P4/7s. Everyone worked together to make Black Houses.
We have been along to Drumin Castle Orchard to harvest some apples. These have now been pressed, we have designed labels for the bottles and we are ready to sell our Glenlivet Apple Juice.
We ended the month by celebrating Halloween. We had a super time dressing up and carving pumpkins in class. Then we had great fun at the 'Trunk or Treat' at night time.
November 2024
We had a visit from Kirsty who works for Storegga. She did lots of fun activities with us to explain about the proposed hydrogen hub at Marypark.
Claire, our beekeeper, helped us jar our honey. We didn't have a lot of jars this year because of the weather over the summer. Our bees are now ready for winter.
December 2024
It's been a busy month getting ready for Christmas! We have been learning Christmas songs with Mrs Gillies. We have also made lots of lovely crafts to sell at our Christmas Fayre.
We invited our friends, family and local community to our Christmas Concert. We read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas' and performed lots of Christmas songs. We had coffee and mince pies as well as a 'name that tune' quiz.
We had a super day out in Inverness at Eden Court. We went to see Jack and the Beanstalk.
We ended the term with our Christmas party which was lots of fun. We played pass the parcel, pin the carrot nose on the snowman and musical arms.
Januaru 2025
We had a snowy start to the year which was very lucky for our P6/7 children's ski trip!
We started a new project learning about the human body. We have also really enjoyed our STEM challenges.
